Chicago gets a glimpse of the Strathmore Archive

The Strathmore Archive is a treasure trove of over 100 years of rare, historic and beautiful Strathmore paper promotions. Since its discovery, we have been hosting special events and pop-up exhibitions across North America to unveil and share selections from the archive with design enthusiasts and to celebrate Stathmore’s legacy.

Last month, Mohawk and the Chicago Design Museum teamed up to bring the traveling Strathmore Archive exhibit to Chicago, IL. Chris Harrold, Mohawk’s Vice President of Business Development and Creative Director, spoke with a select group of designers and creatives about the history of Strathmore while showcasing selected artifacts from the archive.

Approximately 40 creatives from the Chicago area attended and received A Mohawk Maker’s Field Guide. The Maker’s Field Guide to Texture and Color stands on the shoulders of the Strathmore legacy of education, inspiration and demonstration on paper.
