Thomas D. O'Connor, Jr., Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. O'Connor Jr. joined Mohawk in 1986 and was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2004. During his tenure, Mr. O’Connor has grown the company to become North America’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of fine papers and envelopes which are preferred for commercial and digital printing, photo specialties and high-end direct mail.

As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. O’Connor has doubled Mohawk’s business and positioned the organization for the future by leading Mohawk into new areas of growth. Through a series of strategic initiatives, Mr. O’Connor has expanded global sales, operations and distribution channels; diversified Mohawk’s product portfolio to include envelopes and specialty substrates for digital printing; upgraded IT and operational infrastructure; and he has expanded Mohawk’s distribution base through strategic initiatives including the acquisition of several companies, including the iconic Strathmore line of fine papers which was acquired in 2005.

Mr. O’Connor has served as chairman of the National Paper Trade Association, and on the boards of the American Forest Products Association, St. Gregory’s School, and the Advisory Board of M&T Bank. He is also a former member of The Capital Region Economic Development Council (CREDC).

Mr. O’Connor was recently inducted into the Soderstrom Society, the graphic communications industry’s most prestigious honors organization, becoming the first paper industry executive inducted in the organization’s 58 year history.   


Mr. Biesiadecki joined the company in 2004 as Regional Sales Manager. In 2007 he became the National Sales Manager, Eastern US and in 2008 he was promoted to the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In 2010 he was made Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Mohawk, Paul had over 20 years of experience in the paper industry, the majority of which was with Appleton Papers and Appleton Coated, where he was National Sales Manager for Coated Papers.

Paul has a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.

F. Joseph O'Connor, Senior Vice President, NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER, WEST

Mr. O’Connor joined the company in 1990 after having spent ten years in the paper distribution and printing industries in New York City. After holding various positions in sales, administration and business development Joe began in 2005 to significantly expand Mohawk’s presence outside North America, into over 60 countries. In 2016, Joe assumed responsibility for Mohawk's business development efforts in the West as SVP Business Development.

Joe has a Bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College in Psychology and has attended executive education programs at Harvard and Duke University.

BRUCE HOGAN, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing

Mr. Hogan started with Mohawk as Production Superintendent of the Cohoes Mill in 1997 and was promoted to Cohoes Mill Manager in 1998. In January 2012, as Director of Manufacturing, his responsibilities expanded to include the management and oversight of the Waterford Mill and NY Finishing Operations while also working closely with the NY Union. As Senior Vice President, Operations, Mr. Hogan now oversees all operations in New York and Ohio.

Mr. Hogan has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and has attended the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Program for Manager Development. Bruce had nine years of experience with International Paper Company prior to joining Mohawk.

JOHN P. MACY, eXECUTIVE Vice President, chief financial officer, CPA

Mr. Macy began with Mohawk as Vice President, Corporate Treasurer in 2011 with long-term knowledge of our company—first, as a KPMG audit manager and later as Partner on the annual external audit.  Prior to his position at Mohawk,John had 25 years of public accounting experience, including seven years as an audit partner at KPMG and, earlier in his career, John was a member of IBM's technical accounting group.

In December 2014, Mr. Macy was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Office, responsible for directing and managing Mohawk's financial function including oversight of Mohawk's treasury activities, banking relations, cash management, insurance coverage, ERISA/pension, credit agreements and financial reporting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with a BA degree in Accounting from Siena College.

John B. O'Connor, Senior Vice President, Administration

Mr. O’Connor joined the company in 1993 after a number of years in the distribution side of the business. Early in his career with the company, his primary responsibility was in International Sales. He later acquired additional responsibility for Customer Service. In 1999, John was promoted to Vice President, Sales/Customer Service and became Senior Vice President Sales/Customer Service in September 2000. In November 2004, he was made Senior Vice President, Administration and in 2005 assumed the additional responsibility for Strathmore Artist Papers division, successfully negotiating its sale in 2006. John currently has full responsibility for the Human Resources function at all facilities.

John has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Skidmore College and attended Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business Executive Education Program for Manager Development and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management Executive Education Program on Accelerating Sales Force Performance.

Edward G. O’Connor, Senior Vice President and general manager, mohawk envelope and converting

Mr. Ted O’Connor has been in the paper business on and off since 1980. From 1980-1982 he worked for the Carter Rice Paper Company as a Sales Representative for their Boston and West Haven, CT divisions. In 1982 Ted came to work for Mohawk Fine Papers as a Specification Sales Representative for the New York City market. In 1985 he became the District Sales Manager for upstate New York and Canada. In 1987 Ted was promoted to National Sales Manager. In 1992 he left Mohawk to work in Bond Sales for Lehman Brothers in New York City. From 1998-2008 Ted continued his career in Bond Sales at First Albany Corporation. He returned to Mohawk in 2008 as National Sales Manager for the Eastern Region and in 2011 was promoted to Senior Vice President Sales, responsible for sales of fine paperacross the United States and Canada as well as Mohawk's growing envelope business. In 2016, Ted was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mohawk Envelope and Converting. In this new role, Ted leads Mohawk’s sales and marketing efforts for envelopes, while working closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to enhance Mohawk’s rapidly growing envelope and converting businesses.

Bart M. Robinson, Senior Vice President, Marketing AND INTERNATIONAL SALES

Mr. Robinson joined the company in 2005 as Manager of Channel Development. In 2007 he was promoted to Director, Strategic Market & Channel Development and in 2009 to Vice President, Marketing and Customer Service. In 2010, Bart assumed responsibility for the Pinhole Group as Business Manager. In 2013, Bart was promoted to Senior Vice President, Marketing and in 2016, he assumed responsibility for International Sales and Marketing.

Prior to Mohawk, Bart was Regional Merchant Business Manager, Northeast for International Paper’s store division, XPEDX Paper & Graphics. At Mohawk he is responsible for the development of new channels of e-commerce, marketing, business partnerships and sample fulfillment.

Bart has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications from the University of Kansas.


Mr. Angleson started with Mohawk in 2000 as Manager, Distribution Operations and was quickly promoted to Director, Distribution Operations. Over the years his responsibilities have increased to include the supervision of customer service until 2014.  John now oversees inventory planning, production scheduling, purchasing, logistics and distribution for all Mohawk operations. In 2016, John assumed responsibility for Mohawk's Information System Group.

John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Norwich University Military College of Vermont and began his career in the United States Army planning and managing logistical movements of people, equipment, supplies and hazardous material by air, land, and sea and holding the rank of Captain by the time he completed his service. He then worked for the Pepsi-Cola Company for seven years as a product availability manager in both Pennsylvania and New York warehousing facilities.


Mr. Beyer joined Mohawk in 1996 as a Process Engineer and received several promotions within operations including Waterford Mill Manager and Director, Envelope Operations. He was promoted in 2014 to Vice President, New York Operations with responsibility for the New York manufacturing and finishing operations including the Cohoes and Waterford Mills and the Specialty Converting Center.

Dolph has a Bachelor of Science in Paper Science and Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from LeMoyne College, both in Syracuse, New York.

Michelle A. Carpenter, Vice president, environmental and energy stewardship

Ms. Carpenter began her career at Mohawk in 1991 as an Environmental Project Coordinator and has progressed through a number of roles, each with greater responsibility within the area of Environmental Affairs.   In 2012, Michelle was promoted to Director, Corporate Environmental and Energy Stewardship in recognition for additional responsibilities assumed for specific aspects of Mohawk’s energy management program.  In 2013, Michelle became Vice President, Environmental and Energy Stewardship.

Michelle holds a BS in Accounting and a BA in Biology – Environmental Science.  She has also earned a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Urban Policy and Environmental Planning from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Gavin L. Gaynor, Vice President, Research & Development

Mr. Gaynor joined the company in 2000 as Manager of Research and Development. In 2002 he was promoted to Director of that department and in 2008, he became Vice President of R & D. Prior to Mohawk, Gavin was senior project engineer for Westvaco Corporation serving as inkjet development team leader in the Luke Mill.

Gavin has Bachelors and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

Christopher M. Harrold, Vice President, Creative Director

Mr. Harrold is the Vice President, Creative Director. In this role, he is responsible for the creative direction of the company's product and marketing campaigns. Chris joined Mohawk in 1990, as District Sales Manager, and in 1999 assumed the responsibility for the Mohawk Digital Papers portfolio. In 2007, Chris was promoted to Vice President and in 2013, he assumed responsibility for the Creative Directon of the Mohawk Brand.

Chris has been published in a variety of industry journals and speaks extensively on the topic of digital printing and papers.

He holds a Masters degree from the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology and lives in Troy, NY.


Mr. Meunier started at Mohawk in 2002 as Finishing Superintendent of the Cohoes Specialty Converting Center. He is now responsible for the paper converting and warehousing operations at Mohawk’s Saybrook facility in Ashtabula, Ohio, and has contributed to the rapid and successful expansion of Mohawk’s Envelope Operations located within the Saybrook facility.

Prior to coming to Mohawk, Jason was employed as the Reliability Manager of an International Paper facility in Shelbyville, Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

Michael J. Madura, Jr., Vice President, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

Mr. Madura joined the company in 2011 as Vice President, Digital. He is responsible for Mohawk’s digital portfolio of paper and specialty substrates and for Mohawk MakeReady.  In 2017, he became Vice President, Product Development and Management where he will be driving product development efforts in bringing new products to market and directing product management efforts for existing products across our Fine Papers, Digital Papers, Specialty Substrates and Wide Format product lines. Prior to joining Mohawk, Mike was employed for 14 years with Xerox Corporation most recently as Manager, Production Marketing Communications. Prior to Xerox he served with the US Navy.

Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a Master’s in International Business from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Melissa Stevens, Senior VICE PRESIDENT, Sales for premium papers

Ms. Stevens began her career at Mohawk in 2004 as Specification Sales Representative in the Boston, Massachusetts region, and has progressed through a number of roles, each with greater responsibility within the functions of sales and marketing. In 2012, Melissa was promoted to Director, Strategic Accounts & Sales Process Improvement to lead the development of the Mohawk sales team’s transformation and CRM implementation. In 2013, Melissa became Vice President, Sales, overseeing both inside and outside sales teams. In 2016, Melissa was promoted to Senior Vice President Sales for Premium Papers, leveraging her expertise in sales process management to drive sales and business development efforts for Mohawk’s core premium paper business.

Prior to joining Mohawk, Melissa spent 10 years in the publishing and paper distribution industries developing sales channels and market strategies. Melissa holds a BS in Business & Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is currently pursuing her MBA.

Kim Osgood, VICE PRESIDENT, Energy & Engineering

Kim came to Mohawk in February, 1996 from Boise Cascade Corporations Oxford Specialty Division in Rumford, Maine. He held the position of Manager Engineering and Maintenance from his hire until being promoted to Director Engineering/Energy Services in 2011.

Kim will maintain responsibility for all Maintenance and Engineering activities in Cohoes and Waterford. He will also continue to have responsibility for purchasing energy options and incentive programs to satisfy our company gas and electric requirements.
