Job Posting – Electrical Engineer / Project Manager, Cohoes/Albany, NY
Pay Range: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually
1. Purpose and Main Priorities of the Role:
Fedrigoni Special Papers North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with Project Management experience to join our team in Cohoes/Albany, NY. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain and Engineering, this role will play a critical part in executing capital projects and technical initiatives requiring electrical expertise in a high-impact manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to support ongoing plant operations.
2. Your Responsibilities will Include:
Actively support production and maintenance teams in resolving electrical and control system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring system reliability.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance and engineering teams in electrical design, troubleshooting, and project execution.
Lead and manage capital expenditure projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Review and validate technical documentation, including electrical schematics, specifications, and equipment layouts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Maintenance—to align project objectives and drive progress.
Present detailed project updates, business cases, and risk assessments to the management team; implement contingency strategies where necessary.
Conduct and facilitate project governance meetings to provide status updates and gain alignment with stakeholders.
3. Who are we looking for:
8–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects involving equipment rebuilds, retrofits, and new installations.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (with strong expertise in Controls and/or Power Systems).
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical content effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong time management and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, and a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.
4. What to Expect in the Selection Process:
