Storeroom Manager

We are looking for a Storeroom Manager to join our team. Responsibilities include facilitating the flow of Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) materials from numerous suppliers and coordinates procurement activities, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods at fair prices and accurate lead times. This position will have responsibility and accountability for the entire MRO storeroom inventory at all times.


Your Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the safe and accurate receipt, storage and distribution of all parts and supplies for the facility, repair and return inventory, and cycle counts.

  • Oversee vendor-managed inventory and manage consignment inventory.

  • Responsible for all activities including storeroom metrics, storeroom audits, managing obsolescence and optimizing inventory.

  • Involvement in all new capital installations and ensure any required spares are identified and maintained.

  • Work with all internal departments to resolve any MRO related Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities.

  • Manage warranty and returns with suppliers.

  • Daily manage the return to stock shelf.

  • A steadfast commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.



Your Skills: 

The right person for this role is a self-starter with a strong attention to detail.  The following are also required:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing maintenance purchasing, inventory control management or preventive maintenance.
  • A degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Must be able to prioritize and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage large databases.
  • Provide good verbal and written communications to all levels of management, both internally and externally.

 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in the paper industry
  • Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems & Transportation Management Systems
