Maintenance Mechanic Class A or AA-1A 1st Shift

Mohawk is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Class A or AA-1A for the day shift. Based upon assessment, starting pay will be $28.85 or $30.20 per hour. Upon successful completion of probationary period, employee will be evaluated with the opportunity to advance to the rate of $34.21. Mechanics also have the opportunity to progress and hold a Limited Electrical License. The first shift is normally scheduled 7AM – 3PM, with rotating weekends and double-time pay for Sundays. An Associate’s degree and a minimum of 5 years manufacturing or related experience is preferred, but not required.

The successful applicant must possess skills such as the ability to operate lathes, weld, perform equipment alignment, rigging, and interpret blueprints. They must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as, pumps, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and be able to perform other work required of the mechanical classification.
