Debbie Millman’s Word Play, a New Collection for The Luxe Project by MOO

Designer, artist, author, brand strategist, educator, creative entrepreneur and Design Matters radio show host Debbie Millman is the most recent designer to develop a limited-edition collection of cards for The Luxe Project by MOO.

The Luxe Project is an initiative that teams brilliant creatives with Luxe business stationery by MOO – to help a good cause. Each designer’s collection is showcased for a month, and 100% of net proceeds from sales of that collection during that timeframe are donated to the designer’s charity of choice.

Millman’s Luxe Project collection is called Word Play and includes Luxe MiniCards and Luxe Notecards, with 100% of the net proceeds going to the Joyful Heart Foundation.  The vast selection of designs (featuring an impressive variety of over 250 pieces of art) features visual essays that Millman created for her books Self-Portrait As Your Traitor, Look Both Ways, and from her collection of Happy Greeting Cards designed for MOO.

The Luxe MiniCard collection features a playful mix of designs constructed with charcoal, collage and handmade type.  The Luxe Notecard collection features hand-drawn type and visual essays that feature Millman’s expressive thoughts. Each collection can be customized with your own business or personal contact information on the reverse side of the design.

As with all collections for The Luxe Project, Millman’s Word Play designs are printed on MOO’s super premium Luxe Cards, which combine layers of Mohawk Superfine to create a beautifully tactile and impressively thick and luxurious card.

Millman has been named one of the most influential designers working today by GDUSA. She is President at Sterling Brands and Co-Founder and Chair of the Masters in Branding Program at the School of Visual Arts. Her lettering, illustration, and visual essays have been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, Print Magazine, GDUSA, among many other notable publications and blogs.

Each designer for The Luxe Project selects a charity to receive 100% of the net proceeds from sales of the collection.  Millman has selected the Joyful Heart Foundation, an organization that was founded in 2004 by actress Mariska Hargitay, and works to end sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.
