Sports and event marketing is a big business for print. Think of all the local schools, minor league teams, and professional sports teams in and around your area. The next time you go to a game, make note of all the print in the venue. You’ll probably find printed brochures, players guides, trading cards, venue signage, labels, and much more. We were recently excited to be a part of an exciting application for a team in the National Basketball League. This success was due to great collaboration between the print service provider, merchant, Mohawk, and ultimately the end user.
Recently the Procurement team for the San Antonio Spurs reached out to their local printer Clear Visions, Inc., An RR Donnelley Company in San Antonio, Texas to create a unique experience for fans in an upcoming playoff game. Kelly Tant reached out to his local Clampitt Papers representative Tom Harford who recommended they engage the Mohawk Digital team members Shannon Greer and Jeff Donovan for support. In the end the NBA San Antonio Spurs choose to use the Mohawk Dimensional Megaphone on Mohawk C1S 14PT/298 gsm paper. The San Antonio Spurs front office loved the project and the paper chosen to produce the project on.
