Imagine a beautifully-designed coffee table book featuring amazing photographs which chronicle the flavors and aromas that make wine magical, wine recommendations, essays, and education. If you enjoy indulging your senses, you will love Alder Yarrow’s forthcoming book The Essence of Wine.
This unique publication is one part design — an incredible collection of intimate images and accompanying prose that celebrate the different individual flavors and aromas found in wine. It is also an educational read and a guide, directing readers to wines that can broaden their horizons as wine drinkers.
Author Alder Yarrow writes about wine professionally on his James Beard Award Nominated blog, vinography.com. The inspiration for the book came out of a collaboration with an award-winning photographer on his blog. Alder plans to print The Essence of Wine on Mohawk ProPhoto Lustre White paper, and will self-publish the book through Blurb, an on-demand custom print company that uses Mohawk Paper. The project is currently being promoted on Kickstarter.

“Mohawk ProLine Pearl photo paper was simply the best paper I could find to showcase the beauty of these images. The Essence of Wine is all about indulging the senses and the images needed a depth and a richness that could only be achieved with a superior paper,” Alder said.
