[Allyson Van Houten] Today marks the rebirth of Felt & Wire, and we are very excited to share it with you. When the site began in 2009, we wanted to create a community for people who love paper as much as we do. For those who are paper-obsessed: who love the feel of paper, the look of paper, and the magic of what you can create with paper. And, thus Felt & Wire was born!
Since that time, we have experienced many exciting changes at Mohawk and Felt & Wire, the biggest change being Mohawk’s complete rebranding in April 2012. Within the last year we’ve realized there was something crucial missing from Felt & Wire – a direct connection between the Felt & Wire and Mohawk brands. We wanted to celebrate that unique relationship within our new site and you’ll see it reflected in our new look.
Felt & Wire now lives within the MohawkConnects.com website, so you can get the same great content you’re accustomed to and you will be able to conveniently access all of Mohawk’s great resources in a single click. You’ll also notice we brought in a new color palette and ampersand to be consistent with the design of Mohawk’s rebranding.

We asked for your opinions back in January, and we heard your feedback loud and clear. We’ve taken your suggestions and we’ll be posting more content around the topics of DIY, book reviews and studio tours in the coming months.
We’d like to give special thanks to our great partners who have worked on our Felt & Wire redesign. Kudos to Katie Barcelona, Room 207, San Francisco, CA, who worked on site design, and Avatar New York, who worked on site programming.
