A few weeks ago, Tradeshow Bootcamp hosted its second annual Paper Camp conference in Los Angeles. Designers and small business owners from around the country and as far as Hong Kong gathered for two days to talk about preparing their stationery businesses for the wholesale market and using tradeshows as a launching point.
Founded in the Spring of 2011 by Katie Hunt of Kelp Designs, Tradeshow Bootcamp was built upon a simple principle that the more we share within the community the stronger our individual businesses and the industry will become. Paper Camp 2013 attendees learned what it takes to get their businesses ready for a major tradeshow, from industry standards for products, booth logistics, sales tools, marketing strategies, vendor recommendations and retailer expectations.
Attendees network between sessions.
All attendees enjoyed multiple networking opportunities including wine tasting hosted by Mohawk, a beautiful dinner sponsored by Manny Stone Decorators, and a closing reception sponsored by StationeryHQ.
Attendees gathered for Mohawk’s wine tasting event the first evening.
Attendees left armed with a number of personalized goodies, a hefty swag bag filled with paper treats and discounts provided by TSBC alumni, sponsors and friends, and a personalized TSBC workbook chock-full of 100 pages of reference guides, vendor resources, budget worksheets and case studies of sample booths.
