Penguin covers get Hische caps

two caps

Jessica Hische’s initial capitals appear on a special series of Penguin hardbound classics that will go on sale in time for Christmas.

A typographic collaboration between Hische (drawing from her Daily Drop Cap blog) and Penguin Art Director Paul Buckley, the 26-title series runs from A (Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice) to Z (not announced yet, but one can venture a guess that Émile Zola will be involved). Six volumes have been issued so far. [TB]
