[Cohoes, NY – September 28, 2014] Mohawk, North America’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of fine papers, envelopes and specialty substrates for commercial and digital printing, will have hundreds of samples of papers and substrates highlighted at Graph Expo 14, running live in the booths of Mohawk’s OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partners, and featured in numerous pre-printed samples available throughout the show floor.

Mohawk’s extensive digital portfolio will be showcased both in the Mohawk booth (#3240) and by original equipment manufacturers in attendance at Graph Expo, including, Canon, HP, Konica Minolta, MGI, Ricoh, RTI Digital and Xerox.

The following Mohawk products will be showcased by OEMs at Graph Expo 14:

Mohawk Everyday Digital in various finishes, text and cover weights will run on presses at Canon (Booth #613), including the new Canon imagePRESS® C800/C700, the Canon imagePRESS® C7011VPS, and the monochrome Océ VarioPrint 6000.  Mohawk substrates such as Mohawk Superfine, Mohawk Dimensional Premium Polyester, Mohawk Loop #10 Envelopes, Mohawk Via, and MCC Digital C1S Cover will be used to create applications including vintage postcards, calendars, envelopes, book covers, journals, flyers, letterhead, luggage tags, and a travel magazine.

At HP (Booth #1913), Mohawk substrates will run on a variety of presses, including the  HP Indigo® 30000, HP Indigo® 10000, HP Indigo® 5600 and HP Indigo® 7800.  HP will feature oversized posters printed on the HP Indigo® 10000 using Mohawk Superfine Eggshell Digital with i-Tone 100 cover, as well as specialty die cut Mohawk Dimensional 2-up Pocket Folders with tape tabs. On the HP® Indigo 30000, HP will highlight luxe packaging featuring Mohawk Loop Antique Vellum, 110 double thick cover in a unique straw color. Mohawk Synthetic Paper with i-Tone 12 mil will be highlighted on the Indigo 7800 for printed bookmarks, while photo postcards will showcase the beauty and print quality of new Strathmore Pure Cotton Letterpress, Ultimate White with i-Tone, 18 pt.

Konica Minolta (Booth #1213), will feature a wide variety of Mohawk substrates such as Color Copy, Everyday Digital, Dimensional Products, Embedded Products, and Pressure Sensitive products. The Konica Minolta Bizhub PRESS® 2250 will highlight a perfect bound book printed on Mohawk Color Copy 98. Luggage tags 4 up printed on Mohawk Dimensional Premium Polyester 8 mil, and Gift Boxes 2 up from the Mohawk Dimensional line printed on Mohawk Color Copy Ultra Gloss White will be printed on the Konica Minolta Bizhub PRESS® C1070. Additionally, racing posters on Mohawk Everyday Digital C1S 14 pt will run on the Konica Minolta Bizhub PRESS® C1085. Attendees with children should be sure to pick up one of the kid’s books printing on their new flagship 100 ppm Bizhub PRESS® C1100 using super-bright Color Copy 98.

MGI (Booth #3013), will showcase a variety of Mohawk digital substrates including Mohawk Synthetic Premium Polyester (white and frost), Mohawk Magnet with Semi-Gloss paper, Mohawk Everyday Digital, Strathmore Writing Wove, and Mohawk Dimensional Premium Polyester wristbands (pre-taped) and luggage tags on their color Meteor DP 8700XL+.

Ricoh (Booth #1931), will highlight a broad selection of Mohawk Dimensional Products, all pre-printed on the Ricoh PRO C901+ series. Featured products include Dimensional Premium Polyester ID cards, Bookmarks and Luggage Tags to highlight the depth and breadth of Mohawk Digital substrates and applications.

RTI Digital (Booth #4043) will highlight three out of four products from Mohawk’s new line of inkjet substrates, including Mohawk Inkjet Dupont™ Tyvek®, Mohawk Inkjet Matte Backlit Film and Mohawk Inkjet Textured Lightblock Film on the RTI Vortex 4200 wide format printer. The new line of Mohawk inkjet substrates includes a unique surface technology on synthetic materials specifically designed for the emerging Memjet-class of wide format inkjet printers, enabling high quality printing at unsurpassed speeds.

At Xerox (Booth #1213), iconic Mohawk Superfine takes the leading role as Xerox features a new, limited-edition, digitally printed book entitled, Sketchy: Sketches from 1999 – 2014 by Craig Frazier. Craig Frazier, one of the leading conceptual illustrators producing editorial, corporate and publishing work worldwide, has collaborated with Mohawk and Xerox on the production and documentation of this new, limited-edition, digitally printed book which highlights Frazier’s sketches created over a 15 year time period, curated from over 2500 vellum project sketches and 40 sketchbooks.  A limited number of copies of Sketchy will be available for Graph Expo attendees in the Xerox booth # 1213.

Additionally, Xerox will highlight Mohawk Via Bright White 110 cover on the Xerox Color Press 1000 to showcase the image quality and extraordinary printing techniques of the press on textured paper.
