It’s not too little, it’s not too big, it’s just right. The new Mohawk Via swatchbook houses everything you need to see, feel, and specify paper, without the bulky, space-eating features of traditional swatchbooks.
This new groundbreaking swatching system, designed by Michael McGinn Design Office, follows the new Mohawk philosophy. It’s streamlined and provides a practical balance between information and maintaining a sustainable focus. The new swatchbook is a compact and easy to understand accordion-fold format that features a chip chart with actual paper chips showing all of the shades in the grade, a basis weight and finish waterfall for those who need to touch and feel the paper’s movement, and an easy to reference stock chart.
“We know that printers don’t have a lot of spare time to browse through swatchbooks digging for information. Our challenge was to develop a sampling program that is as simple and logical as Mohawk’s new streamlined product offering. Unlike traditional swatchbooks, these new books are more compact and easier to manage. No short-page, die-cut, flip-over, see-through, everything but the kitchen sink approach that is impossible to navigate. The program was conceived to be the simplest and most straightforward presentation we could make, allowing the paper to be the hero,” said McGinn.
The Mohawk Via swatchbook is the first swatchbook to be released by Mohawk using the new format, but it will soon be followed by the release of Mohawk Superfine, Mohawk Options, Mohawk Loop, Mohawk Carnival, Strathmore Writing and Strathmore Premium swatchbooks — all slated to be released this year.
