As we continue to celebrate the Mohawk Maker Campaign, we are inspired by makers and our industry colleagues within the paper, design and printing communities. Recently, we had an opportunity to share some of our own inspiration with eighteen merchant business development representatives who traveled to Mohawk headquarters in Cohoes, New York, to participate in a hands-on fine paper workshop.
Participants shared best practices, as they swooned over metallic ink on the new Mohawk Maker Quarterly No. 5, experienced the paper making process (Strathmore Premium Pastelle with iconic deckle edge) on one of Mohawk’s three paper machines, and toured the Mohawk Print Innovation Center.
As makers, we also thought it would be especially fun to tour several locally owned businesses in the Capital Region, including Troy Cloth & Paper, where our group participated in a memorable making event.
We thank our industry colleagues for making the journey to Mohawk and we look forward to working together to further the power of print!
