Tags 4 Less has been creating custom tags since 2009. Claim tags, repair/service tags, waterproof tags, tear proof tags - if you can dream it, they can create it. Serving the needs of the business-to-business marketplace, Tags 4 Less has experienced a significant increase in business year-over-year since the company began.
The owner of the business was raised in the print industry starting in letterpress, to offset, to the current digital printing age. Current owner of Tags 4 Less Thomas Black admits, “I have ink in my blood.”
With over 30 years of experience in the printing industry, Black has used a wide variety of substrates. One of his favorite substrates is Mohawk Synthetic Paper 10 mil.
“Mohawk Synthetic Paper is my go-to substrate choice for tags. They’re waterproof, oil proof, tear resistant, easily printable, and writable even after printing. The feel is much nicer than anything else I’ve used,” says Black.
“I’m not a chemist, but Mohawk’s substrate feels nicer and has a matte finish. It will accept a pen which is wonderful. I prefer it to Tyvek for short runs.”
“I choose Mohawk Synthetic Paper for big runs and for short runs. It’s more durable than other synthetic substrates – especially in cold conditions. It won’t crack in extreme cold like other brands I’ve tried. Other brands tend to be harder, coarser, too heavy, stiff and too slick.
Mohawk Synthetic Paper is easy to cut, so I don’t have to change blades as much. It is softer on bindery and converting equipment.
Just print and assemble.
