Carl Bender, recent MFA graduate from the Academy of Art University School of Graphic Design, created a futuristic thesis project on Mohawk paper. With the help of Debbie Millman, Partner, Sterling Brands and President of the AIGA Board of Directors, Carl Bender’s thesis, Corporate Revolt, ended up being more than a perfect bound book. It is a call to action for social change.
Anarkon, the book Bender produced for his thesis, is a 232-page manifesto filled with beautiful typography and imagery — exactly what we would expect from a graduate of the Academy of Art University. The book features timelines, interviews, and references to people who are at the forefront of social change movements, such as John Bielenberg, Naomi Klein, and Noam Chomsky. In keeping with the message of social change, Bender printed Anarkon on environmental windpower-produced Mohawk Options 100% PCW White.
