how_live_feltandwire

HOW Design live, held June 23-25 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, is a place where designers have the chance to attend sessions that teach and inspire, network with other creatives and visit all the fabulous exhibitors.  Mohawk is excited to be exhibiting again this year! We will be showcasing a brand new app for augmented reality, called Mohawk Live, transforming the booth into a Maker Space, with new featured makers each day, and giving attendees a first look at the new Mohawk Maker Quarterly.

If that wasn’t enough, there will also be limited edition giveaways each day the exhibit all is open! Here’s a look at what will be happening each day at the conference:

Bordo Bello NYC – Making of Rise and Skate

BordoBello_scultpurei

Bordo Bello, Italian for “beautiful board”, is a skateboard art show created by the members of AIGA Colorado. This year, the fifth year for the program, the chapter assembled the year’s new artwork along with some of the best work from years past for an exhibit at the AIGA National Design Center Gallery in NYC.

Artists Harikrishnan Panicker and Deepti Nair designed and created an incredible paper sculpture, using only Mohawk papers, to create an eye-catching and unforgettable window display for the exhibit. They documented the process of meticulously hand-cutting each sheet of paper and lovingly assembling the sculpture in order to bring you a time-lapse video. (The process took 60+ hours, but who’s counting?) Click through to see the incredible making of “Rise and Skate”.
