As a Supporting Sponsor of Martha Stewart’s 2013 American Made, Mohawk fine paper will be in the spotlight during the American Made award ceremony and workshop events held in New York City, October 15-17.
The American Made awards ceremony will be an invite-only red carpet affair held in New York City on October 15. Attendees will honor makers from across the country for innovation and excellence in their respective fields, including craft, community, food, design, technology, sustainability, industry, garden, and style. The 2013 Audience Choice Winner will receive a $10,000 prize, a trip to New York and a feature on MarthaStewart.com to further their business.
Mohawk fine papers have been hand-selected by Martha Stewart for use at American Made. Mohawk Superfine was selected for the formal invitations to the awards ceremony, event programs, brochures, signage and supplies for on-site demonstrations.
Here’s a look at the classically-designed red carpet awards invitation printed on Mohawk Superfine Eggshell Ultrawhite 130 dtc. The invitation and matching envelope feature impeccable laser die cut details, with crisp apple green letterpress logo and printing. Mohawk produced and converted the matching custom envelopes (A7 Superfine Eggshell Ultrawhite 100 text) and die cut the apple green tissue liners.
Following the awards ceremony, on October 16-17, The American Made Workshop will feature a full day of hands-on classes led by Martha Stewart Living editors, expert panels and discussions, shopping, and a tasting room. It’s an opportunity to learn from Martha Stewart, and interact with editors, celebrities, innovators and creative entrepreneurs from across the country.
And if your invitation hasn’t yet arrived by mail, don’t worry – you can still participate and support local makers by visiting the American Made Market at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station, October 16-17, from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. In true Martha Stewart style, the hall will be transformed into an exciting and bustling marketplace where visitors can shop, taste, and learn. The market will feature the 2013 American Made honorees, live demos, engaging craft opportunities, celebrity book signings and more. The event is free and open to the public.
Mohawk will be reporting live from all of the American Made events – so be sure to visit mohawkconnects.com for updates, blog posts, and exclusive photos.
